How It's Made

On full moon nights, master smiths prepare the alloy under the open sky. The metal disc is heated in a traditional coal forge and hammered by a team of 4-5 craftsmen working by firelight from moonrise to dawn. The slower pace and meditative atmosphere are said to transfer calming energy into the metal. After shaping, bowls rest for a lunar cycle before final tuning and finishing. Each bowl is stamped with the production date and full moon phase, and comes with a certificate documenting the specific full moon under which it was crafted.
